In American, the use of a period or comma as punctuation does not preclude or excuse one from the use of a space to distinguish one word from the next!

Four Donna yelps, a Brent tune, and one estimated prophet LEAVING OFF when bobby stops conjuring the coyote god.

Tell that to e.e. cummings, Jack Kerouac, Allen Ginsberg, et al. Though I do wish someone would tell it to my Freshman Composition students.

As to the Fillmore East: we enjoyed a parade of the period's best, put on with style, at a fair price.

I outgrew ginsberg and kerouac a while ago and cummings never floated my boat. I've plenty of respect and all... just not my thing. Always dug the metaphysicals more, and the 'high modernists' like Joyce and Eliot. I never really got why literature that adhered to just a few grammatical and formal boundaries couldn't be radical enough for those crazy beatnicks.

Also... I'd give a testicle for the chance to catch a show at Winterland back in the day. sigh. I guess i'll just watch the Grateful Dead Movie again.

I outgrew the Grateful Dead 40 years ago; that doesn't diminish their genius--even if, like the Beats--it is stuck in time.

That must be it. Thanks for straightening me out. Now I can live my life in peace.

TRUTH. They outgrew everyone who thinks their peak happened sometime in the 1970s.

Let me rephrase that: I moved on to different things. Hippie was long dead, the scene was turning into disco, simply time for me to move on. Yes, I outgrew them--but that's just how I felt; it is not meant to criticize the band or its followers.

They were who they were. I am who I am. Two forks in the road.
I'm glad they stayed with it. Just didn't work for me.

If that offends anyone, sorry. I don't mean to.

First step is acceptance my friend. Brent's keyboard tone is absurd, just admit it. There's hope yet:
